Innovative Polymers' tooling systems include Shore A and Shore D hardness casting polyurethanes as well as a full line of RTV silicone rubbers. The products are easy to hand-mix and pour over a pattern. The tooling systems exhibit low shrinkage for excellent dimensional accuracy of molds. Once cured, the materials feature good flexibility to accommodate easy demolding of prototypes and parts. Products in the tooling line include:

  • Shore A Elastomers include amber-colored IE-644-02 and IE-644-03 polyurethanes that exhibit good abrasion resistance and tear strength. Also part of the Shore A Elastomers tooling products are high elongation IE-9070 and IE-9080 polyurethanes.
  • Advanced Shore D Polyurethanes include IE-644-04 abrasion-resistant, good tensile strength polyurethane as well as IE-9040 and IE-9060 that feature excellent tensile strength and elongation as well as outstanding tear strength.
  • GI Series RTV Silicone Rubbers are insensitive to inhibition. They are room-temperature, condensation cure systems for casting over virtually any surface.
  • P Series RTV Silicone Rubbers feature low shrinkage and excellent heat resistance. The products cure in total confinement. Cure cycles can be accelerated with heat. P series silicone rubbers may be inhibited by tin, sulphur or amines.
  • Release Agents available from Innovative Polymers include paste wax for hand application and aerosol silicone for spray application.
  • Dessicant Cartridges are supplied for drying meter/mix dispensing equipment and 55-gallon drum vents.
